Kian Edalat juxtaposes different animation techniques and blends hand-drawn abstract paintings/drawings with digital 3D forms to create animated videos. Distorting 3D models, experimenting with new forms, and improvising unusual rigging methods to disrupt models proportion are a few methods he has incorporated into his works.

His project 'while’ depicts his inspiration from the modernist abstract movement and his passion for the new technologies.

Holding an MA in Animation from Kingston University London, he progressed his education into coding at Flatiron School and he is self-taught in the world of art. He is currently a computer programmer and experimenting with computer-generated works for his upcoming projects.

Recent shows include the 2017 member’s show selected by Andy Holden at Outpost Gallery, Norwich, England and the 165 annual open exhibition at Royal West of England Academy, Bristol, England.
